MochiAds - Developer Program Policies

In order to uphold the quality and reputation of Mochi Media products and services, your use is subject to these program policies. If you are found to be in violation of these policies, as determined by Mochi Media in its sole discretion, your game(s) or account may be suspended or terminated.

Acceptable Game Content

  • Game Requirements: MochiAds only accepts Flash games. A game is defined as something which provides amusement through skill, chance, endurance or adherence to a set of rules. MochiAds reserves the right to determine whether or not submitted content is a game.
  • Mature or Adult Themes: The MochiAds network will not accept games with mature or adult themes. Our founding principles are to provide advertisers with a selection of games that are clean and family friendly. Not to say that all games should be flowers and bubble gum, but the level of blood, violence and adult language should be kept to a minimum. In general, we will not allow games with expletives, nudity, intense or persistent violence, obscenity, pornographic material, or drug abuse.
  • Copyrighted Materials: Developers must have transferrable license to use and distribute images, audio and other assets incorporated in their game. Games must be compliant with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act Policy.

Displaying Ads

  • Sizing of Ads: Ads must be sized appropriately for the game area. The advertisement including the loader bar and MochiAds logo underneath the ad must fit completely within the game area. Ads cannot be resized or scaled larger or smaller to fit within the game window.
  • Custom Styling for Ads: MochiAds allows the custom styling of pre-game and inter-level ads in order to integrate the overall look and feel of the ads into the game itself. Ad customization of colors must contrast appropriately with the selected background. If a custom background is used, all text for MochiAds must be displayed legibly with clear contrast. Games must not show “Play” button or otherwise enable user interaction with the game until the ad is done showing.
  • No Sound During Ads: No sound can play while ads are being displayed in the game.
  • Invalid Clicks & Impressions: In order to ensure a good experience for users and advertisers, the game should not request that users click on MochiAds advertisements or rely on deceptive implementation methods to gain clicks. In addition, developers may not circumvent existing MochiAds restrictions on frequency which an ad is showed.

Use of Ad Codes

  • Ad Codes Within Multiple Games: A single ad code cannot be used in multiple games without explicit permission from Mochi Media. This includes customizable games with dynamic user content. For permission, contact support@mochiads.com.
  • Income Sharing with Multiple Developers: We do not support sharing revenue between two or more developers within the MochiAds network. We suggest either creating a single MochiAds account and splitting the revenue after payout, or alternatively programmatically credit advertisements to each account to share revenue. Developers choosing to implement the latter method to notify support@mochiads.com.

Forum Policies

  • Inappropriate Language: The use of inappropriate or offensive language is not permitted in these forums in images, links, usernames or any other content. Inappropriate or offensive language includes, but is not limited to, any language or content that is sexually oriented, sexually suggestive or abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, profane, hateful, or that contains racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable material of any kind. We ask that you please be considerate to other members in the forums when posting your messages.
  • Topics of Discussion: While these discussion forums encourage a wide range of opinions, please keep your posts focused on the topic of the forum in which you are submitting your message. Each forum has a different topic, so what is appropriate in one forum or thread may not be appropriate in another.
  • Harassment and Flaming: Forum members are not permitted to harass or "flame" other members. Please do not post or transmit any harassing, vulgar or otherwise inappropriate content on the forum. Please note that this also includes the posting of taunts on a forum solely for the purpose of deriding that forum's topic and/or members.
  • Copyrighted or Trademarked Materials: It is illegal to post any content on this forums which violates the rights of others, such as content which infringes any copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret or violates any right of privacy or publicity, or otherwise violates any applicable law.
  • Impersonating a Forum Member: Forum members are expressly forbidden from impersonating a staff member, or any other member of the forum.
